Amino Acid Supplements – What are BCAAs and Why You NEED Them

Think Amino Acid Supplements can really help you?

Here’s how top bodybuilders leverage the power of the body’s natural ”building blocks” for massive gains…

“Revealed: The Little-Known ’2-Hour Window’ Used By Top Bodybuilders To Grow Huge Muscle Up To 100% Faster”

If you ever considered taking BCAA supplements to overcome plateaus, recover more quickly… and quite simply: Get Bigger, Faster – here are some important things you need to know first.

I know some of you reading this will just want to find the best BCAA to use… but before we get to that, I’d like to talk about some of the hidden fundamentals that most people just blaze past… and then wonder why they hit plateaus, stop growing, and get injured.

  1. Muscle growth NEVER happens during your workout. While you’re pushing weights, what’s happening is that you’re stressing them. Tearing them down. (the only reason muscles get bigger during workouts is because they get filled with blood)
  2. All growth occurs during RECOVERY. When you’re working out, you’re depleting your muscle cells storage of what’s called ATP (the ”energy currency” of your cells). When the muscle gets to rest, it rebuilds the muscle – stronger, bigger.
  3. Amino Acids are the “building blocks” of your muscle tissue…
  4. … But we can’t USE them until the time immediately after your workout. This is the ”2-Hour Window” where up to 60% of recovery takes place.
  5. During this “2 Hour Window” is when your True Gains happen…
    BUT -
  6. If your body does not have enough resources (building blocks) available to make recovery as fast as possible… that means that you’re potentially

“Losing Up To HALF Of Your Gains!”

You see, when your body isn’t ready with all the materials required to rapidly build more muscle… well – you don’t.

The question remains: What Do You Do Instead?

The short answer: Amino Acid Supplements – Namely, the BCAAs

BCAA stands for branched-chain amino acids. BCAAs make up 35% of your muscle mass… and quite simply – they NEED to be there in order for muscle gain to take place.

You need more than 20 amino acids to build muscle, red blood cells, and hundreds of other molecules that keep you alive.

Your body can not produce 8-10 of these, so you need to get them through supplements or diet.

Here are a few more reasons why you absolutely need BCAAs:

  • Boost protein synthesis… simply: grow more muscle, faster. (if you’re looking for that ”cut” definition that oh-so attracts the ladies – how’d you like to get there at 2x the speed?)
  • Decrease muscle breakdown and cortisol levels (you know how testosterone helps you build muscle? … well, cortisol is like the opposite!)
  • Studies have shown BCAAs use the same brain pathways as tryptophan – an amino acid that induces fatigue and sleepiness… Meaning: by taking BCAA supps – you last longer.

“The general idea in planning strength training sessions is to have the athlete do as much work as possible while being as fresh as possible”
    - Prof. Vladimir Zatsiorsky, former consultant to Soviet Olympic teams

… therefore, by taking BCAA supplements, you can ”be as fresh as possible” for a longer period of time… which means you get bigger and stronger, much more rapidly.

  • When you’re working out on an empty stomach, BCAAs spare your muscles from catabolizing… which means you keep the muscle – and rapidly burn fat.
  • Like running? BCAAs will increase your stamina and reduce fatigue in your next marathon, triathlon or Tour de France

“What About Side Effects?”

“There were no serious clinical or biochemical side effects of the BCAA infusion, although a statistically significant increase in alkaline phosphatase was observed. These results suggest that central vein parenteral nutrition utilizing a 45 percent BCAA enriched solution can promote nitrogen retention without serious side effects in moderately to severely stressed patients.”
- The National Center For Biotechnology Information

In other words: virtually none. The study quoted above infused a -very- high amount of BCAA with no harm.

The only time you should never take BCAAs is if you’re a ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease) patient. A BCAA study on ALS patients had to be stopped because of a significantly increased mortality rate.

On the other hand, no studies on healthy people have cause any negative side effects at all.

“Which is the best one?”
To be honest, there is really no contest.

It’s called Xtend and it’s by Scivation. Xtend uses a proven 2:1:1 ratio of BCAA (L-Leucine, L-Isoleucine and L-Valine), Glutamine, Citruline Malate as well as Vitamin B6.

Xtend will…

  • Give you the energy boost you need to push your training to the max…
  • … and drastically speed recovery at the same time! (as you remember, fast recovery is when all your Real Gains happen!)
  • Scientifically proven to enhance ATP production (get bigger muscle gains, faster than ever before!)
  • Blocks tryptophan from entering the brain (stay fresh!)
  • Boost immune function and digestive health (having the flu makes it harder to lift weights!)
  • Promote vasodilation (which leads to better assimilation and absorption of protein)
  • Elevate growth hormone (you could fill a book with all the benefits of this! Increased energy, protect cells in the whole body, build more muscle, increase strength, stamina and endurance… it even rejuvenates brain cells – improving memory, learning ability and intelligence!)
  • And much more…

“How Much Should I take?”
Here’s how much:

Take 3-4 scoops and mix it up with 16 to 24 ounces of water… and shake! You might need to shake a fair bit as sometimes it can be a bit hard to mix properly. If it doesn’t immediately dissolve… just let it sit for a while, and then shake it up again.

As for how to use it… you can start sipping right before, around 15 minutes before starting your workout.

Now, what’s cool about Amino Acid Supplements like Xtend is that you can actually drink it WHILE you’re working out. Between sets. This feels a bit weird for a lot of people.

When I started doing this, I was afraid it would “gulp” around too much and make me feel nauseated during my workout…

… but to my surprise, what happened was quite the opposite!

I could go on for much longer while feeling much stronger at the same time. Working out was almost like a completely new experience. You’ll see for yourself once you pick up some of this ninja-powder for yourself.

Finish up the rest of your drink immediately after finishing your workout.

If you take BCAAs before or during a hard kick-ass workout or major cardio session, you will perform at a higher level.

P.S. Scivation Xtend has been upgraded and now contains electrolytes for even better endurance, and the flavors are better than ever! The watermelon flavor is totally kick-ass. Sounds a bit weird, I know… but trust me on this one. (if for some reason you have a morbid fear of large fruity melon flavors and you don’t wanna take my word for it, grape is pretty sweet too!)

P.P.S. Here are some real user feedback from others who’ve used Xtend:

“This product gave me a rush of energy almost immediatly. If i was sore at all i would drink a shaker full and it would noticeably help with my soreness very quickly. I also would take it during workouts and without even knowing it would give me that extra energy to finish my workout.”
- joshslvl4xl

“I felt like I could tell my body was hardening out after two weeks of taking the product.”
- time

“great recovery: i could have the most brutal workout and as long as drank this right after I wouldnt feel any kind of soreness the next day. 10/10”
- Tmcelroyjr18

“This BCAA blend shortened my recovery time to about 2 days shorter! My legs would be sore for about 5-6 days after my leg workout. While taking Xtend, my leg recovery time was shortened to about 3-4 days. Very effective!”
- TGFitness6

“I use this product many different ways. I sometimes drink this first thing in the morning to give my body a kick start before I do my cardio workout. Other times I drink it while I am doing my weight lifting workout. In both cases, I feel more refreshed during the workout, and I have a much faster recovery time with less soreness. I have used this during a cut and it definitely helped me retain my muscle MASS and definition while not hindering my fat loss at all.

I really do recommend this to anyone and everyone, it’s a simple, easy-to-use supplement that really has no downside (other than cost, which really isn’t bad).”
